Take a Peek

Cuteness Overload

With over 20 years of experience sharing our gentle, well-trained animals with our community at our farm in North San Diego County, we are excited to share our miniature donkeys with guests at your event. Dressed to impress, our darling donkeys are "the perfect party ice breaker," delighting guests with an easy conversation starter, photo op, and a frosty beverage. Adorned with garlands of roses, their wood and wicker packs are ready to deliver to your guests beverages, promotional materials, treats or party favors along with a big dose of joy and cuteness.

Weddings, Parties, & Corporate Events

Every event is unique and we would be love to customize a mini-donkey appearance to make your event unforgettable.  Guests love meeting and taking photos with our adorable donkeys as well as discovering what the donkeys are delivering in their saddle packs. These sweet donkeys function as "the perfect party icebreaker," creating photo ops while serving beverages or whatever you'd like to add to their baskets.

Serving Our Community

Animal-Assisted Therapy is our mission and our miniature donkeys and llamas love sharing their light with our North San Diego County community. Our donkeys are highly socialized from constant positive human interaction. They extend their protective instincts to humans in need in extraordinary ways. Our gentle donkeys have a beautiful capacity for connection and the response we witness in these interactions is quite inspiring.  Our donkeys (and handlers) especially enjoy visiting retirement homes, hospice patients, and disabled adults.

  • What should I bring?
Bring your own mat, blanket, or towel but be prepared for the goats to potentially taste test everything from zippers to ponytails! Goat Yoga Events take place outside so bring layers in case of colder weather and a hat for when the sun comes out. We have sunscreen if you need more.
  • May I purchase a Gift Certificate
Yes! Christmas, Mother's Day, Graduation, Birthdays -- Goat Yoga Events are the perfect gift! Give Experiences, Not Stuff! Click here to purchase your giftcard online. Recipients may choose from any Goat Yoga Event on our schedule. We host Goat Yoga year round.
  • Do you host private events?
Yes. Goat Yoga Events are great for birthday celebrations, corporate events, team socials, teen birthday parties, bachelorette parties etc. Please email Elizabeth for details: Elizabeth@SugarSweetFarm.com
  • How much does it cost?
Goat Yoga Events include an hour of yoga instruction followed by a Goat Cuddle Session and Picture Party. After class, guests enjoy visiting our Farm Stand, meeting other animal friends, and visiting other areas of our bucolic farm. $55/person. Premium events like our Halloween Goat Yoga Parties are $65/person.
  • Who is eligible to participate in Goat Yoga?
Participants must be over 10 years of age and in good physical health, not suffering from any medical condition which would limit their participation. Goat Yoga is not for small children. Children love Sugar Sweet Farm and we love children and host them through every other farm offering except Goat Yoga. It's the grown ups' turn for some farm fun. If you're interested in a experience for younger children please book a private tour. (Halloween Goat Yoga Events are open to children accompanied by parents ages 9 and up). *FAMILY Goat Yoga (offered occasionally) has a lower age limit to include younger children (ages 6+) with an attending adult. Each person (child & adult) will need their own reservation ($55/person).
  • My child is an animal lover, how do I share the adorable baby goats with him/her?"
Please schedule a Private Family Tour to explore the farm with your family, meet, pet, and learn about all the animals and enjoy cuddles with the baby goats.
  • Will there be goat poop?
Yes if you are lucky. Goats freely share their goat curiosity, goat silliness, and goat affection– and that all comes with some goat poop and goat pee. We will do our best to help you keep your area clean but nature's call is part of connecting with farm animals. While our goats are very social and friendly, each animal is different in how it interacts with others: some will come right up to you and others may be a little shy. Patience and moving slowly are the best ways for you to pet, hold, and snuggle with our gentle goats.
  • Are there refunds?
We do not offer refunds. Our classes fill and sell out quickly. When you register, we hold a spot for you and turn away other yogis. You are welcome to send a friend in your place on the same day if you are unable to make it.
  • Do I have to do yoga?
No. It's o.k. to sit on your mat and snuggle goats. It is not o.k. to bring a friend or child who is not registered to hang out, walk around the farm, watch, take pictures, or be on the property.
  • What if there is inclement weather?
While we generally enjoy perfect weather at Sugar Sweet Farm, occasionally Mother Nature needs to help her flowers grow. In the event that the weather is below 50° (too cold for humans), above 90° (too hot for goats), or raining, we will cancel class by notifying you via email about 2 hours before class time. We will then help you transfer your registration to a future class on a pretty day.
  • Where is Sugar Sweet Farm?
Our family farm is in Encinitas, California which is in north San Diego County. Goat Yoga and all visits to Sugar Sweet Farm are by Private Appointment Only. After you register we'll send you a confirmation email with our farm address and class details.
  • May I bring my children to Goat Yoga?
No. Participants must be over 10 years of age. Children love Sugar Sweet Farm and we love children and host them through every other farm offering except Goat Yoga. It's the grown ups' turn for some farm fun.
  • Is your farm open to the public? May we stop by and pet animals?
No. We are a private family farm and do not have staff for drop-ins or other visitors that are not prearranged. Goat Yoga and all visits to Sugar Sweet Farm are by Private Appointment Only. Please schedule a Private Family Farm Tour or Goat Yoga Event on our website.
  • May I bring a friend to walk or take pictures?
No. It is not o.k. to bring a friend or child who is not registered for a Goat Yoga Event to hang out, walk around the farm, watch, take pictures or be on the property. We are not able to accommodate additional guests at the farm during our Goat Yoga Events. Everyone on the property needs to register, sign our waiver, and be in our Goat Yoga “studio” participating, even if they are just sitting on their mat. We want to ensure that all of our guests feel comfortable exercising without observation.
  • Is goat yoga really a thing?
No "kidding" it IS thing! The San Diego Union Tribune visited Sugar Sweet Farm's Goat Yoga class and made a great video you can see here.
  • What can I expect?
We would love for you to be surprised, but if you want a sneak peek at what your session might be like, we recommed watching our short "Welcome to Goat Yoga" video here.
  • Can my friend/husband/child just come and watch while I do Goat Yoga?
We are not able to accommodate additional guests at the farm during our Goat Yoga Events. Everyone on the property needs to register, sign our waiver, and be in our Goat Yoga “studio” participating, even if they are just sitting on their mat. We want to ensure that all of our guests feel comfortable exercising without observation.
  • How much does the CIT program cost.
Each 5-day CIT session is $530 and runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please email us to learn more about our Camper-ship financial assistance for families in need.
  • May I bring my dog to your farm?
We are big animal lovers and your dog sounds lovely. But we are not able to welcome other dogs to the farm. Visiting dogs upset our dogs and many of our animals who are rescues. And the goats hate to be upstaged! Our insurance company feels like it’s a liability for other guests as well.
  • Are there lifeguards?
Yes! Each camp day ends with a refreshing dip in the pool. Think of this more as "pool and water play time" rather than "swimming." Please check out our Pool Safety Protocol for more information about how seriously we take our responsibility to keep the children safe around the pool. Note: Half-Day morning campers do not swim.
